An Aurora man who admitted to s3xually assaulting a kid was given a 15-year prison term by the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Jose A. Jimenez, who was directly acquainted with the child and was under the age of 12, is accused by the prosecution of sexually assaulting the youngster between January and March of 2022.
“This victim disclosed the abuse to a school social worker, who swiftly contacted authorities. My thanks to the social worker and the victim’s family members who supported her throughout this ordeal. I’m grateful to the victim for her courage throughout this prosecution and for trusting us to ensure she gets justice,” Kane County Assistant State’s Attorney Stacey Wittman said.
The Illinois Sexual Offender Registration Act mandates that Jimenez register as a sexual offender for the rest of his life.
He is given credit for 394 days spent in the Kane County jail and is required to complete at least 85% of his sentence.
