Ebenezer Kojo Kum, Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, has resigned. His resignation was announced by the Presidency in a statement on Friday, February 3, 2023.
The Jubilee House’s communications director, Eugene Arhin, claimed in a statement posted on social media that the President had accepted his resignation. The letter also stated that Dan Botwe, the Minister for Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development, has been asked by the President to serve in that capacity until a permanent replacement is named.
According to reports, the Chieftaincy Minister has been ill for a while. Despite his best efforts to get better in time to resume his duties, reports indicate that his health has been failing him. Chieftaincy Minister Kojo Kum had a stroke, but he is now OK, according to a family attorney.
