Anthony Davis chose to skip Game 2 of the series between the Lakers and Warriors because of his outstanding performance in Game 1. I guess, sort of.
Davis just had 11 points and 7 rebounds on Thursday night despite playing 33 minutes. The Lakers lost 127-100 in the Chase Center as a result of their collective struggles.
ESPN’s Jay Williams criticized Anthony Davis for his postseason inconsistency after the Lakers’ defeat against the Warriors.
“It’s hard for me to recall a superstar in this game that has such extremes,” Williams said. “There are times when I watch AD, I’m like, your ceiling is on the level of Jokic or Embiid, maybe better. But your floor is JaVale McGee.”

This playoffs, Davis’ focus has been on this. He was unable to continue playing at his outstanding level for the Lakers’ first-round series against the Grizzlies.
On Saturday, Davis will have a chance to recover in Game 3.
At 8:30 p.m. ET, the Lakers and Warriors will face battle.
