A single-vehicle collision in rural Victoria has claimed the lives of four people, and a teenage girl with serious injuries has been airlifted to the Alfred Hospital.
Around 9.30am, a car carrying five persons departed Wannon-Nigretta Falls Road in Bochara and collided with a tree.
According to early reports, the driver lost control of the car. Once off the road, the automobile ran into a tree.
Four females who have not yet been formally recognized all passed away there.
A teenage female with upper body injuries was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.
The area has been roped off while the collision is being investigated.
Police are requesting that anybody with information or who observed the collision call them.
