Ghanaian social media followers are in awe of boxer Seth Gyimah, who competes in the United Kingdom.
Freezy MacBones, as he is commonly known, faced battle against seasoned fighter Darryl Sharp on Saturday, April 15, at London’s Copper Box Arena.
Since turning professional, the 33-year-old MacBones had fought twice. But the judges were won over by the light-heavyweight boxer, giving him the victory.
Everyone was in awe when Freezy MacBones defeated Darryl Sharp on Friday in the UK
Even though he had a tremendous game, more people are being moved by the emotions he showed in his post-game interview.
He talked about the difficulties he had as a Ghanaian immigrant trying to find a better life elsewhere.
He advised everyone to draw strength from his triumph and keep trying to realize their aspirations.
Freezy moved from Ghana to the UK in 2012 and began boxing training in late 2017. With just 18 amateur fights under his belt, he entered the sport later than most of his countrymen, and the Darryl match was his second since turning professional.
In Ghana, Seth worked odd jobs at construction sites before moving to the UK, where he began his boxing career.
He now has less time, a burning desire, and a firm determination to see a successful career.
Seth first gained notoriety last year when, while sparring at his neighbourhood gym, he knocked out a man who weighed 30 kg more than him.
