With this 1-0 victory over Villa on Sunday, Manchester United United returned to winning ways in the Premier League, going 15 games without a loss at home in the league, and making significant progress toward Champions League qualification.
After Emi Martinez blocked Marcus Rashford’s shot in the first half, Bruno Fernandes arrowed in the game-winning goal.

Despite having to work hard for the victory, Erik ten Hag’s team was able to snap Villa’s 10-game winning streak under Unai Emery. In the first half, Casemiro could have put the game away rather than hitting the crossbar, and Rashford also missed many golden opportunities.
Villa posed a threat in the second half, causing Victor Lindelof to clear the goal line, but Emery will be frustrated that they didn’t generate more.
