An untimely death has been reported involving an 18-year-old student from the New Nsutam Senior High Technical School in the Abuakwa-North District of the Eastern Region, who was allegedly fatally stabbed by her lover.
We’ve learned that Abigail Asare, a form two student at the school and an Accra resident, visited her lover Emeka, who is reportedly Togolese, shortly after leaving school for the midterm holidays, which started on Friday, at around 9 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023.

Emeka is alleged to have departed the shop shortly after without his girlfriend.
A customer who had come into the salon for a haircut moments later noticed the victim’s lifeless body lying on the ground covered in blood from knife wounds.
The eyewitness, alarmed by what he saw, immediately alerted the Akyem-Nsutem police, who then alerted the Kyebi police, who sent officers from the Kyebi Divisional Police Command to the scene.
The student’s lifeless body was transported by the police and put in the Kyebi Government Hospital for preservation and an autopsy as part of their ongoing investigation into the incident.
A subsequent investigation of the suspect’s residence revealed that he had left; the suspect has now left the neighborhood.
Uncertainty surrounds what transpired between the two inside the business to cause the suspect to stab the young woman.
The event has not yet been addressed by school administration.
