The Lagos State Police Command has dragged Usman Hammed before an Ogudu magistrate court for allegedly attacking his landlady, Josephine Durodola. The incident happened on April 8, 2023, at her residence, which is located at No. 25 Olaniyi Street in the state’s Agiliti, Mile 12 region.
Durodola was hospitalized after allegedly being attacked by Hammed when she demanded payment for his electricity bill and smashed her head against an iron fence. The prosecutor, Inspector Donjor Perezi, revealed that the accused was charged with assault in accordance with Section 173 of the Lagos State, Nigeria, 2015 Criminal Law.
Hammed entered a not guilty plea and was given a bail of N100,000 with two sureties in the same amount. May 16, 2023, is the date set for the hearing.
