An attack with a knife occurred in County Durham on Friday night, injuring three police officers.
Around 10.15 p.m., police were called to an address on Corfe Crescent in Billingham in response to a report of concern for welfare.
At the time of the event, a man brandishing a knife approached them and started acting aggressively, inflicting wounds on two Cleveland Police officers and cut wounds on a third.
All three were taken to the hospital to have their wounds stitched up.
A 34-year-old male has been detained by police after being apprehended in connection with the event.
He received minor injuries treatment in a hospital as well.
