Saint Obi, a well-known Nollywood actor, unexpectedly went suddenly after a brief illness. The sad tragedy happened on May 7, 2023.
Several Nigerian media outlets have stated that Saint Obi suffered an unexplained ailment for several months, receiving therapy and making regular hospital trips.
The actor passed away at home, according to a dependable family source who broke the news of his death on Sunday, and his body was taken to the mortuary at Jos University Teaching Hospital following a visit to his sister’s house in Jos.
Saint Obi, 57, had just moved to Jos, the Plateau State’s capital, to be closer to his sister.
A source at JUTH stated that he was frequently observed being taken to the hospital when he was there.
Saint Obi, a renowned actor who was born in Imo State, established his name in the Nigerian film business.
He performed in more than 100 films during the course of his remarkable career, demonstrating his extraordinary talent and enthralling audiences with his performances.
The movies Candle Light, Sakobi, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, Festival of Fire, Executive Crime, and Last Party made Saint Obi famous.
His premature death is a huge loss to both his followers and the entertainment industry.
Following resolution of disagreements with the deceased’s family, the Actors Guild of Nigeria intends to issue a statement.
