Yvonne Nelson are incensed by reports that China may seize Ghana’s mineral and electricity revenues if Ghana does not uphold its loan agreement, as stated by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Yvonne, a fierce opponent of the NPP administration, has criticized President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia for their appalling economic mismanagement.
On May 24, she took to Twitter to express her disappointment in the country’s leadership. She wrote: “It’s just unbelievable! Like howwww? You guys can sleep at night? @NAkufoAddo @MBawumia.”
The disgruntled actress has brought attention to some serious flaws in the NPP government during the past 24 hours. She admitted that if she criticizes the president, their foot troops and pray-followers are quick to cyberbully her.
Despite the attacks, she seems unperturbed. In a separate tweet, Yvonne added: “NPP supporters will always come under your post, insult and disgrace themselves. Grown *ss men and women. Hiding behind Twitter pages. Pathetic.”
According to a news report by myjoyonline.com, Ghana has acquired at least eight Chinese collateralized loans over the previous ten years with a variety of mineral resources serving as security.
Of the $1.9 billion in loan agreements Ghana has with China as of the end of 2022, collateralized loans total $619 million.
